NEWARK, Del. – Senior Rebecca Dolhansky scored the lone goal in the Wilmington University women's soccer team's 1-0 win over Bloomfield Saturday afternoon at the WU Athletics Complex for Senior Day.

Before today's matchup between the Wildcats (7-8, 6-3 CACC) and Bears (1-12-1, 0-9-1 CACC), WilmU's senior's Kate Tubo, La'Dae Boykin, and Rebecca Dolhansky were honored by their coaches, teammates and families for Senior Day.

It was a slow start for both teams, as neither team could find the back of the net in the first 40 minutes of play. The Wildcats had nine shots to the Bears' two before Rebecca Dolhansky got a shot off from 28 yards out on a centering pass from Krysta Memis to put it in the upper left corner of the net in the 42nd minute of play. Viviana Caamano had a chance a minute later on a header that went wide left, but the Wildcats would take the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Wilmington started the second half with two corner kicks, but could not connect. The Wildcats were able to hold of the Bears' three shots and corner kick to keep it a scoreless game.

WilmU out-shot the Bears, 14-5, and also had more corner opportunities with six to Bloomfield's two.

Jessica Unsihuay had two shots on goal for the Wildcats, while goalkeeper Kate Tubo made three saves in the shutout.

The Wildcats will have their last home game of the regular season this Tuesday when they face off with Georgian Court at 3:30 p.m. at the WU Athletic Complex.
