  • Wilmington Volleyball Announces Instructional Camp and Position Clinics For High School Students in August

    Led by 18-year coaching veteran Kim Huggins-Habbert, the Wilmington University volleyball team will be conducting a three-day Wildcats in Training: 2022 Volleyball Camp as well as individual position specific clinics in August for high school students in preparation for the upcoming season.

  • Wildcats Lead CACC With 10 Honorees on 2021 CACC Volleyball All-Academic Team

    Fifty-three (53) honorees on Friday were named to the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The total number of honorees represent all 13 schools that compete in the sport in the CACC.
  • Angel Oliver Voted First Team D2CCA All-East Region

    Junior middle hitter Angel Oliver becomes the second Wilmington University volleyball player to earn All-Region status in its NCAA era, being voted to the First Team Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA) All-East Region Team on Wednesday.

  • Grace Morton Wins CACC Volleyball Top XVI Award for Academic Excellence

    Prior to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Tournament Semifinals, the conference office presented the All-Conference Teams and Major Awards, along with the CACC Top XVI Awards for academic excellence. For the fourth time this fall, the award went to a Wilmington University Wildcat, as Grace Morton took home the prize.

    Wilmington University saw their regular season come to a close at the hands of a 3-1 loss to the host Golden Falcons of Felician University.  Set scores for the match were 18-25, 25-15, 19-25, and 21-25.

    In a crucial CACC South Division battle at the end of the regular season, the Wilmingotn University volleyball team came out on top over Georgian Court, 3-2, to secure the South Division's No. 2 seed and a home game in the upcoming CACC Tournament First Round. The Wildcats got a triple double from Heather Pedrick, 13 kills from Mandy Behiels, nine total blocks from Dorie Moore, and a match high 20 digs from Elly Collins. A big solo block from Jessica Connelly in the fifth set lifted the Wildcats while Elly Collins came away with a kill in the set as well.     The offense was led by freshman Jessica Connelly while the defense came up with 12 blocks as the Wilmington University volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep of Chestnut Hill on Thursday night. Connelly finished with 11 kills and five block assists while Mandy Behiels added eight kills and 12 digs. Heather Pedrick had 7 kills, 12 assists, and 13 digs while Angel Oliver had six kills, 8 total blocks, and 3 aces to lead the team with 14 points.     The Wilmington University volleyball team defeated Mercy in straight sets on Thursday, collecting 9 blocks and 9 aces on the night. Angel Oliver finished with 8 kills while Heather Pedrick had 8 kills, 10 assists, 22 digs, and 4 block assists. Katie Bushong dished out 15 assists while Elly Collins added 16 digs. Dorie Moore had a solo block and five block assists. Pedrick, Mandy Behiels, Bushong, and Genevieve Hughes all had two aces as well. The Wildcats are now 13-10 overall on the year. Heather Pedrick collected her 6th triple-double of the year with 11 kills, 23 assists, and 16 digs. Jessica Connelly also had 11 kills. Mandy Behiels finished with 10 kills and 12 digs.
