Behiels, Williams, and Memis Named CACC Players of the Week After Department Goes Undefeated

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The Wilmington University athletics department didn't lose a contest the entire week last week, leading to three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Players of the Week so far, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The men's soccer team went 2-0 last week as Hakim Williams was named a CACC Co-Player of the Week. The women's soccer team also went 2-0 last week led by CACC Co-Player of the Week Krysta Memis. And the volleyball team went 2-0 last week, led by CACC Player of the Week Mandy Behiels.

Hakim Williams (St. Catherine, Jamaica) played the hero in both games last week, scoring the overtime winner in each. With the game tied, 1-1, at Millerville, Williams scored in the 99th minute to secure the victory in the team's final nonconference game of the year. He then scored in the 102nd minute against Nyack on Saturday, giving the 10th ranked Wildcats the 1-0 victory to remain undefeated, 9-0-1 overall and 3-0 in CACC play. He now has three goals and three assists on the year.

Krysta Memis (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.) led her Wildcats to a 2-0 week in CACC play, scoring three goals and adding an assist. She helped her team come back twice against Goldey-Beacom, scoring the Wildcats' second goal of the game to give them a 2-1 lead. They ultimately needed to come back again and won 4-3 in the final minute. She then came out and scored the game's first and fifth goals against Nyack while assisting on the second goal in the team's 6-0 victory. She leads the team with nine points on the year.

Mandy Behiels (Edmonton, Alberta) collected a pair of double-doubles last week in leading the Wildcats to a 2-0 week in CACC play as well. She put down 12 kills and added 11 digs and three service aces for 15.5 points in a 3-2 come-from-behind win at Georgian Court. She then added 12 more kills to go with 10 digs and two blocks for 14 points at Bloomfield. Her 12 kills at Bloomfield came with only one error on 18 swings, finishing with a .611 attack percentage.

Men's soccer's Konstantinos Parisis was mentioned on the Weekly Honor Roll after make seven stops in a 2-0 week.
