Freshman Season (2021): Appeared in all 34 matches and played in 118 sets as a freshman- finished the season 25th overall in the CACC with 232 kills- had 124 digs, 7 block shots and 6 assists- average of 1.97 kills per set- career-high of 16 kills came at Chestnut Hill College on October 7 in a 3-1 victory- registered 16 digs against West Chester on September 23.
Freshman Year (2020): Was on campus at Wilmington University - COVID-19 postponed season – retained year of eligibility.
High School: Two-year letterwinner in volleyball as an outside hitter for coaches Jessica Furlough and Kelly Baldridge – helped lead the volleyball team to back-to-back conference championships as a junior and senior – named the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year – led the team and conference in kills as a junior and senior – All-Conference Offensive Player of the Year – Riddle & Brantley Scholar Athlete – four-time All-Conference Academic Award – also played soccer for coach Scott Sloan – helped lead the team to back-to-back 13-0 seasons and conference championships in 2016-17.
Personal: Jessica Lauren Connelly – daughter of Bernard and Melanie Connelly – has young twin siblings, Amanda and Buddy – majoring in health sciences at Wilmington University with aspirations of becoming a research scientist – from Wake Forest, N.C. – also enjoys soccer, surfing, and being outside at the beach and grass volleyball– favorite athlete is Mika Zibanejad– if she could date a celebrity, she would date Kelly Oubre, Jr. – if she could be someone else for a day, she would be Kathryn Plummer – perfectly prepared meal would be chicken tenders – favorite professional sports team is the New York Rangers-considers her dad her hero in life- prefers Instagram over Twitter; text over call; sunset over sunrise; beach views over mountain views and iced coffee over hot coffee.
