Men’s Cross Country Heads into Postseason Ranked No. 6 in USTFCCCA East Region Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University cross country teams are heading into the postseason on a high note, collecting their best team finishes of the season at the Jack St. Clair Memorial last weekend. The men's team continues to be ranked No. 6 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association East Region Poll.

The Wildcats finished second overall, but was the top collegiate program at the Jack St. Clair Memorial on Saturday, the same course in which the Wildcats will run for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship next Sunday. Only the Philadelphia Runner Track Club finished ahead of the Wildcats on Belmont Plateau.

The top two in the East remained the same this week, with Southern Connecticut and Roberts Wesleyan coming in at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Stonehill and American International switched places this week, with Stonehill coming in at No. 3 and AIC now at No. 4.

Southern New Hampshire, Wilmington, and Franklin Pierce remain in the same positions as last week, securing the No. 5, 6, and 7 spots in the East, respectively. Assumption and Le Moyne flip-flopped positions this week, with Assumption taking over the No. 8 spot. St. Thomas Aquinas joins the poll this week at No. 10.

The Wildcats have this weekend off, but return to action with the CACC Championships on Sunday, October 27. The races will be run in Fairmount Park on Belmont Plateau.
