SaraBeth Oppermann joins the Wilmington University cross country coaching staff after running for head coach Keith Jones and the Wildcats. Oppermann earned All-CACC honors as a senior, placing 10th overall at the 2014 CACC Championships. 

Below is a highlight of Oppermann's collegiate career as a Wildcat:

2014: All-CACC (10th) - competed in all seven events as a senior - earned All-CACC after placing 10th at the CACC Championships with a time of 20:49 - finished fourth overall at the UD Invite #1 with a time of 25:17.35 - started the season with a 14th place finish in the WUXC invite, running in 22:48.49 - also placed 35th at the Codfish Bowl and 44th in the Louisville Classic in her fastest time of the year (19:51.01) - completed the season with a 49th place finish at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships, crossing the line in 23:33.2. 

2013: Competed in all six meets for the Wildcats as a senior – best finish was a 17th place finish at the WUXC Invite to kick off the season – fastest 5K time was the UMass Dartmouth Invite in 220:56.99 – fastest 6K time of the year was the Princeton Cross Country Invite in 26:14. Placed 34th overall at the CACC Championship in 22:19.   

2012: Ran the first two meets of the season before an injury set in and forced a medical red-shirt year

High School: Four year participant on the cross country and track teams at Alexis I. DuPont High School – Honor Roll and Academic Honors student

Personal: SaraBeth Linn Oppermann – daughter of Buddy  and Debbie Oppermann – has an older sister, Amy Blithe Oppermann – sister, Amy, ran cross country and track at the University of Delaware (1988-91), majoring in behavioral science at Wilmington University with aspirations of becoming a child psychologist – from Hockessin, Del.
