Wilmington Golf Sits Atop NCAA East Regional Rankings

NEWARK, Del. - - In the first installment of the NCAA Regional Golf Rankings in the spring season, the Wilmington University golf team stands atop the East Region, joined by three other schools from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in the Top 10.

The Wildcats, aided by their eighth straight CACC Tournament Championship in the fall, has played three tournaments so far this spring and sit above Le Moyne and Southern New Hampshire in the East Regional Rankings.

The Wildcats are joined in the Top 10 by CACC mates Dominican (6th), Post (8th), and Concordia (9th).

The Northeast 10 has the most teams represented with five while the East Coast Conference has St. Thomas Aquinas at number four.

The Wildcats head to the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational this weekend at Rum Pointe Golf Course in Berlin, Maryland. The Wildcats will tee off starting on Saturday morning.
