Wilmington hit a season's best 16 three-pointers in the win, tying for second all-time in the program's NCAA era. Taalib Holloman led all scorers with 25 points, shooting 6-of-15 from the floor, hitting three three-pointers, and going 10-of-11 from the foul line. He also added six rebounds. LJ Carter scored 19 points to go with four assists while Caleb Matthews hit four three-pointers and finished with 14 points. Amiri Stewart went 4-of-r6 from the floor for 12 points, adding seven assists, six rebounds, and 3 blocks. Skip Burton hit three three-pointers and scored 11 points off the bench. February 20, 2024For the seventh consecutive season, the #WilmUMBB is heading back to the postseason, clinching a berth into the CACC Tournament with a 92-84 victory over Holy Family on Tuesday night at the WU Athletics Complex. Amiri Stewart scored 20 or more points for the seventh straight game, leading the Wildcats with 22 points while adding seven rebounds and seven assists. Taalib Holloman finished with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting while Caleb Matthews added 16 points and four rebounds. Nalik Veasley scored seven points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds while Kaleb Hedgepeth scored seven points to go with eight rebounds and three blocks. February 17, 2024#WilmUMBB jumped out to as large as a 19-point lead and held on for a CACC cross-divisional victory over Dominican, 99-95, on Saturday. The Wildcats put in an NCAA-era program record 40 free throws in the game, going 40-for-44 in the game. Amiri Stewart went 14-for-15 from the foul line and 8-of-10 from the floor for the game, scoring a new career-high 31 points for his second consecutive 30-point game. Stewart added eight rebounds and three assists as well. Taalib Holloman scored 19 points while going 9-of-9 from the foul line, adding three assists, two rebounds, and two steals. Skip Burton added 13 points while Caleb Matthews scored 10 points. Nalik Veasley scored eight points while adding a game-high nine rebounds and five assists. Wilmington is now 13-12 overall, 6-7 in CACC play.
