The Wilmington University men's basketball team looks to take the next step after producing the best record in program history a season ago. They open the 2017-18 season by hosting the Wildcat Tip-Off Classic this weekend with USciences, NYIT, and LIU Post at the WU Athletics Complex.
The Wildcats went 19-10 overall last year, placing second in the CACC South Division with a 14-5 conference record. They played for the South Division Regular Season crown on the final day of the regular season, but settled for second place overall. They fell in the CACC Tournament Quarterfinals, and look to take the next step forward for the program with a strong start to 2017-18.
The athletics department caught up with fourth year head coach Dan Burke to discuss the upcoming 2017-18 season.
