Keith Jones Named 2017 CACC Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - For the fourth time in his career, Wilmington University cross country head coach Keith Jones has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year, as announced by CACC commissioner Dan Mara.

Voted on by the conference's sports information directors, Jones has also earned the award on the men's side in 2012, 2013, and 2015. He was also named the CACC Women's Coach of the Year in 2009.

Winners of two straight CACC Championships, Jones has the men geared towards a third straight when they race this Sunday at White Clay State Park in Newark, Del. Jones has scheduled two events at White Clay during the 2017 regular season in preparation for this year's CACC Championships.

Jones has led the men's program to a pair of victories this fall, and has not finished worse than fourth place overall. The men's team earned team titles at the 17th Annual WUXC Invite and the University of Delaware Invite #1. They came in second place at the UD Blue & Gold Invite, third at the Philly Metro, and fourth place at the Don Cathcart Invitational.
