Giovanni Marino Named to Back-to-Back USILA Division II Dynamic Teams of the Week

NEWARK, Del. - - For the second week in a row, Wilmington University men's lacrosse standout Giovanni Marino has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Dynamic Team of the Week.

Giovanni Marino (Woolwich, N.J.) has been on a scoring tear the past two weeks, and has been named the CACC Player of the Week for both. He scored 12 more goals in two games last week, adding an assist for 13 points. He scored five goals and added an assist against Felician and then came out and scored seven goals with five ground balls at Dominican on Saturday night. After scoring 16 points in the first six games of the season, Marino has scored 32 points in the last five contests.

He's helped lead the Wildcats to seven straight wins, two national rankings, and an 8-3 overall record. The Wildcats are 4-0 in CACC play as well.

Giovanni Marino was named to last week's USILA Dynamic Team of the Week as well after scoring a program record nine goals against #12 St. Anselm. Teammate Jacob Herman was also selected to the April 4 Dynamic Team of the Week after dishing out a program record five assists at #12 St. Anselm as well.

Logan Stinson earned a spot on the March 21 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week after scoring 10 goals in two games, including seven at Lake Erie.
