Wildcats Lead With Five as CACC Announces All-Conference Teams

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Five Wildcats were named to the 2023-24 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Bowling All-Conference Team, with three being voted First Team, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

Three Wildcats were voted First Team All-CACC, including Logan Brown, Eleni Feggulis, and Sydney Jones. KC Miller and Miranda Dudas were voted Second Team All-CACC, by far the most representatives in the conference.

In her first season with the Wildcats, Logan Brown (Waldorf, Md.) has settled into the anchor role for the team in Baker play, having 264 10th frame attempts. She finished fourth on the team with an 18.32 average fame score in Baker format, collecting 242 strikes (41.5 percent), and converted on 58.9 percent of her spare attempts. In Traditional play, Brown leads the team with an 18.82 frame average, rolling a 9.01 first-ball average. She had a 52.9 strike percentage while converting on 57.5 percent of her spare attempts. She's been named to three All-Tournament Teams this season, finishing in the top five during Traditional play.

Also in her first season with the Wildcats, Eleni Feggulis (South River, N.J.) has excelled in the lead-off position in Baker play. In 207 attempts at the start of games, Feggulis has an 82.6% lead-off fill percentage with a 42.0 lead-off strike percentage. For the season, she finished third with an 18.66 frame average in Baker matches while picking up a 41.1 strike percentage and a team-best 66.8 spare conversion percentage. In Traditional play, she is second on the team with a 19.33 frame average, and second with a 46.2 strike percentage with 177 total strikes. She was named the New Jersey Open Tournament MVP and earned a spot on the Mercyhurst Invitational All-Tournament Team this season.

Sydney Jones (Middletown, Del.) repeats on the All-CACC team, this year moving up to First Team status. She settled into the setup position in Baker play this season, carrying a 43.6 setup percentage into the postseason. She leads the team with a 19.14 frame average in Baker format matches, adding an 8.87 first-ball average. She had a team-high 118 Baker double strikes, finishing with 264 strikes overall (44.1%). Jones is second on the team with a 66.5 spare conversion percentage. In Traditional play, she was third on the team with a 19.00 frame average and second on the team with 186 strikes. She is also third on the team with a 62.1 spare conversion rate. She earned MVP honors at the CACC Meet #1 and a spot on the New Jersey Open All-Tournament Team this season.

KC Miller (Denver, Pa.) is a repeat All-CACC performer as well, earning First Team accolades last year and Third Team All-ECC as a sophomore. Miller is second on the team with an 18.94 Baker frame average, finishing with an 8.78 first-ball average. Her 255 Baker strikes are second on the team, leading with a 45.9 strike percentage. In team scoring, she averaged 18.51 pins per frame with an 8.73 first-ball average. She led the team with a 65.4 spare conversion percentage in traditional scoring to go along with 144 strikes with a 40.9 strike percentage. She was named to the Wildcat DII/DIII Invite and CACC Meet #1 All-Tournament Teams this season.

Freshman Miranda Dudas (Toms River, N.J.) was a two-time CACC Rookie of the Week this season, bowling a 17.58 frame average in Baker format. She finished the regular season with a 61.5 spare conversion percentage, adding 107 strikes. In team scoring, she put together an 18.06 frame average with an 8.75 first ball average. She is second on the team with a 63.9 spare conversion percentage in Traditional matchups, adding 110 strikes. She picked up 80.2 percent of her single-pin spare chances.

Caldwell's Lauren Marks was voted the CACC Women's Bowler of the Year while Felician's Vivian Luna was voted the Women's Bowling Rookie of the Year. Her coach, Rusty Thomsen, was voted the CACC Coach of the Year by the league's sports information directors.

The five Wildcats will lead the team into the CACC Tournament this weekend, as they square off against 3rd Seed Felician in the First Round of the double-elimination portion of the bracket. The teams will play a best-of-three super set to determine who advances.

The CACC Tournament is being hosted by Chestnut Hill at Pike Lanes in Southamption, Pa. The Wildcats and Golden Falcons begin at 1:30 p.m.
