Lauren Hoelke and Krysta Memis Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 Team

NEWARK, Del. - - Getting it done on the field and in the classroom, Wilmington University women's soccer's Lauren Hoelke and Krysta Memis have been voted to the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 1 Team, as voted on by the East Region's sports information directors.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.

Heading into the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Semifinals, Lauren Hoelke is second on the team with seven goals on the year, adding an assist for 15 points. She had a season high four points with two goals against Georgian Court. In the classroom, she graduated from Bloomsburg with a cumulative grade point average of 3.63 and now through one block of graduate classes at Wilmington, she has a 4.00 grade point average. She is studying for her Masters of Education in Elementary & Secondary School Counseling. Hoelke was named First Team All-CACC earlier this week as well.

Krysta Memis has been perfect in the classroom through her entire undergraduate and now graduate careers. On the field, she is tied for second on the team with 15 points, scoring five goals while adding five assists as well. She's scored game-winners against Nyack and against Georgian Court, with a season's best five points coming in the win against Nyack with two goals and an assist. In the classroom, she graduated with a Liberal Studies degree with a perfect 4.0 grade point average, and now has a 4.0 GPA while studying for her MBA. She was named a Second Team All-CACC member earlier this week as well.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 Team is automatically nominated for the CoSIDA Academic All-American Teams, which will be voted on by NCAA Division II sports information directors country-wide. The Academic All-America Teams will be announced in early December.
