Women's Soccer vs. Goldey-Beacom - CACC 1st Round

The Wilmington University women's soccer team will advance to the 2021 CACC Tournament Semifinals for the first time since 2017 witha. 3-1 win over crosstown rival Goldey-Beacom in the First Round. The Lightning struck first with an early goal, but then the Wildcats fought back with first half goals from Jimena Garcia Risoto and Samantha Emmi to lead 2-1 at the break. Lauren Hoelke then added an insurance goal early int he second half to secure the victory. The 4th seeded Wildcats will face 8th seeded Georgian Court in the Semifinal on Friday at Post University in Waterbury, Conn. Copyright 2021; Wilmington University. All rights reserved.
