NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Eight schools combined to capture 17 honors that were handed out Monday, as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its 2022-23 Team GPA Award winners for the recently completed athletic season (2022-23). The announcement was made by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara, as Thomas Jefferson University and Post University each led the way with four team GPA awards apiece.
University of Bridgeport, Chestnut Hill College, and Wilmington University each took home a pair of team GPA awards, while Alliance University, Felician University and Holy Family University each capture one honor.
The Wilmington baseball team boasted the top GPA with a 3.315 while Men's Golf topped the sport with a 3.740 team GPA. A number of other Wilmington programs were among the top teams in their sport, including women's tennis finishing second with a 3.822 team GPA. Women's soccer boasts a 3.501 team GPA while the softball team was just below 3.5 with a 3.495 team GPA to highlight the Wildcats.
The CACC Team GPA Awards are given out each year to recognize the school with the highest team-wide GPA in each of the conference's 17 championship sports.

To be eligible for the awards, a team must have met NCAA sport sponsorship standards for the 2022-23 season. The CACC had 164 teams across all 17 sports this past season that met NCAA sponsorship standards. Of those 164 squads, 129 posted team-wide GPAs of 3.0 or higher for a success rate of 79 percent.
