Wilmington Baseball Earns No. 3 Seed and Faces No. 4 in Upcoming NCAA East Region Tournament

NEWARK, Del. - - Needing an at-large bid to return to the NCAA East Region Tournament, the Wilmington University baseball team was selected as the third seed for the tournament and will face fourth seeded St. Thomas Aquinas in the first round played at Southern New Hampshire.

The 2014 NCAA Regional Tournament begin on Thursday with the time of the Wildcats' (33-9-1 overall) first contest will be determined by the host team and announced later.

The Wildcats advanced to the East Region Tournament Championship game as the top seed last season and will look to earn its first East Regional Tournament Championship and advance to the NCAA Division II World Series in Cary, N.C. Each winner of the eight regional tournaments will advance to the Division II World Series.
