Wilmington Golf Earns Bid to 2019 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - - The Wilmington University golf team's season will continue, as the NCAA has announced the field of 80 teams and 32 student-athletes that will compete in regional competition of the 2019 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship.

The Wildcats are the 10th ranked team in the East Region, as 20 teams from the Atlantic and East Regions will compete in a Super Regional Tournament in Greensburg, Pa. The three-day, three-round tournament will be hosted by California (Pa.), and will begin Thursday, May 9, at the Totteridge Golf Club.

Four teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference will participate in the Super Regional, led by the CACC Tournament Champion Dominican at the No. 4 seed. Post comes in as the No. 7 seed with Concordia earning the No. 9 spot. Wilmington rounds out the East with the No. 10 seed.

Franklin Pierce is the East's number one seed while Charleston is the Atlantic's top seed. Southern New Hampshire won the Northeast 10 Championship and is the East's No. 2 seed while Indiana (Pa.) is the second seed in the Atlantic.

The top three teams and top two student-athletes not from an advancing team will move on to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship a The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia beginning May 20.
