Sacha Brown in 20th after First Two Rounds at Ralph Hargett Memorial in North Carolina

MONROE, N.C. - - Sacha Brown leads the Wilmington University golf team at the Ralph Hargett Memorial Invitational, shooting two-over par as the Wildcats sit in 17th after two rounds at the Rollings Hills Country Club.

The Wildcats shot rounds of 307 and 310 to finish with a 617 (+41). The Wildcats are 12 strokes ahead of Southern New Hampshire in the 18-team field.

Sacha Brown leads the Wildcats and is in a tie for 20th overall, shooting rounds of 72-74 for a 146 (+2). He is currently tied for 16th on all par five holes, shooting two-under par. He is also tied for sixth overall with 26 pars in two rounds. He had three birdies in his opening round, including two in his final three holes to get back to even par. He then birdied the par five 13th to get back to one-over par in his second round, but a bogey on the next hole and a par on his final hole, the 15th, had him finish with a 74 (+2).

Pablo Quintero improved his rounds by three strokes, shooting rounds of 80-77 for a 157 (+13) and to sit in a tie for 77th overall. Quintero had three birdies in the first round and a birdie on the par four fourth in round two.

Tyler Cleaves improved his second round by six strokes, shooting rounds of 83-77 for a 160 (+16) to sit in a tie for 85th overall. Cleaves got off to a slow start in the first round but had a birdie on the par five ninth. His second round consisted of 13 pars and five bogeys.

Ryan Heenan and Blake Ramirez are also in a tie for 85th overall with Cleaves, posting scores of 160 (+16). Heenan shot rounds of 77-83 for his 160 while Ramirez shot rounds of 78-82 for his 160. Heenan had birdies on holes 12 and 13 to get to as low as four-over par, but a bogey on his final hole of round one gave him a 77 (+5). Ramirez's first round featured 12 pars and six bogeys.

Grand Valley State leads the tournament by 11 strokes with a 560 (-16). Tusculum is in second with a 571 (-5) while Wingate is in this with a 579 (+3).

Grandy Valley State has the top three individuals as well, with Drew Coble shooting a 137 (-7) with teammates Manuel Cue and Nick Krueger in a tie for second with scores of 140 (-4).

The third and final round of the Ralph Hargett Memorial is set for Tuesday morning at the Rollings Hills Country Club.
