Wilmington University to Once Again Host Sam Cozen Small College Basketball All-Star Games

NEWARK, Del. - - In conjunction with the Philadelphia Area Small College Coaches Association, Wilmington University will once again play host to the Sam Cozen Small College Basketball Games this year on March 23 at the new home of the Wildcats and the WU Athletics Complex.

This year the Philadelphia Area Small College Coaches Association will host three All-Star Games for local student-athletes to either showcase their talent for the last time, or for the first time in front of coaches and spectators.

The games will kick off with the men's senior game at 1 p.m. where graduating seniors will get the chance to lace 'em up one final time against fellow competition. Seniors from the Philadelphia area NCAA Division II and Division III colleges and universities will begin the day's festivities.

Following the seniors, local sophomores from junior colleges and community college will have the chance to play in front of four-year head coaches to be evaluated and recruited.

The women will start the sophomore games with their opening tip being thrown at approximately 2:15 p.m. The sophomore men will follow for their chance to be viewed with an approximate tip starting at 3:15 p.m.

Admission for the event will be charged at the door, with the fee being $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students with proper identification.
