Five Wildcats Named to 2023 Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Team

NEWARK, Del. - - The College Sports Communicators announced its 2023 Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team, and five Wilmington University student-athletes were recognized as some of the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Representing the Wildcats on the CSC Academic All-District Team is Sebastian Agerschou, Yohan Kim, Sora Noda, Max Norden, and Jeremie Saint Marc. The Wildcats are five of the 24 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference representatives, the second most in the conference.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District nomination, the student-athlete must excel in both the field of play and the classroom. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, AND compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of the games, along with several other criteria.

Sebastian Agerschou (Esbjerg, Denmark) helped anchor the defense of the Wildcats, playing and starting in 16 games at centerback. He scored two goals on the year for four points, scoring against Bloomfield and at Goldey-Beacom. He is carrying a 4.00 cumulative grade point average while studying business management.

Yohan Kim (Seoul, Republic of Korea) led the Wildcats with six assists on the year, earning Second Team All-CACC honors in the midfield. He is carrying a 3.93 cumulative GPA while studying sports management.

Sora Noda (Fujisawa, Japan) finished fourth on the team with nine points in his first season as a Wildcat, scoring three goals and adding three assists. He played in all 18 games this fall while making 16 starts. He has a 3.65 GPA while studying Liberal Arts.

Max Norden (Bremerhaven, Germany) also finished fourth on the team with nine points, scoring two goals while adding five assists from his left-back position. He started all 18 games on defense for the Wildcats. He is studying sports management and shows a 3.91 cumulative GPA as a senior.

Jeremie Saint-Marc (Bordeaux, France) collected two assists as a midfielder in his first season as a Wildcat, with both assists coming against Bloomfield on Homecoming. He appeared in 17 games while making nine starts.

These five Wildcats helped the Wildcats to an 8-6-4 overall record and the No. 4 seed in the CACC Tournament.
