NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Softball's Taylor Gillis was the lone Wildcat the Week to receive a major weekly award for the week of March 27, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Taylor Gillis (Hockessin, Del.) appeared in five out of the six games for the Wildcats this past week. In the five games that Gillis played the 'Cats were able to win all five games extending their streak to nine wins straight at the time. Gillis led the way at the plate with a .536 batting average, nine hits, five runs, five RBIs, and three extra-base hits. Gillis also got it done on the defensive end providing 11 putouts in centerfield with a couple of diving, highlight-reel catches to help the Wildcat pitchers on the mound. She went 3-for-6 with two doubles and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep over Georgian Court and 4-for-6, including 3-for-4 in game one, in a doubleheader sweep over West Chester as well. She also stole five bases last week.

Three other Wildcats earn spots CACC Weekly Honor Roll. Softball's Kylee Gunkel went 3-0 in three starts on the mound, while only giving up four runs on 10 hits. Women's Lacrosse's Amelie Gamache had eight goals, six assists, five ground balls, and six draw controls to earn a spot this week. Women's Lacrosse's Ella Royer had seven goals, two assists, and nine draw controls to make the Honor Roll as well.

Taylor Gillis and the Wildcats will be back in action tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28 when they face Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, at 2:30 and 4:30 PM.
