Logan Brown and Miranda Dudas Sweep CACC Weekly Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The Wilmington University bowling team swept the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference weekly awards as Logan Brown was named Bowler of the Week and Miranda Dudas was named the Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Friday.

Logan Brown and Miranda Dudas helped the Wildcats to a 25th place finish at the Northeast Classic, facing eight nationally ranked teams, including each of the top three teams in the country, last weekend.

Individually, the Wildcats were led by Logan Brown's 1,004 five-match total, coming in 45th overall out of 236 bowlers. She had a team-high 237 against No. 1 Jacksonville State and added a 207 in the final match of the day against UAB, finishing with a 200.80 average. She bowled matches of 199-237-183-178-207.

Freshman Miranda Dudas placed 108th overall out of 236 bowlers with a 171.60 average. She finished with an 858 five-match total, and had a day's high 177 twice, first against No. 21 McKendree and again against No. 20 Oklahoma Christian. She bowled matches of 177-171-177-171-162.

The Wildcats are back in action this weekend at the New Jersey Open hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson University at the 30 Strikes Lane. The three-day tournament begins on Friday in Stratford, New Jersey.
