Four Goals Gives Fraczkowski CACC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Scoring her first collegiate goal and ending her week with four total goals, Wilmington University sophomore Morgan Fraczkowski has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the voting period ending September 16, announced by the conference office on Monday.

The Forest Hill, Md. native capped the scoring in the team's first matchup of the week, a 4-0 victory over Goldey-Beacom. The one time volley with 27 seconds left was the sophomore's first career goal. But she didn't stop there for the week.

Against Bridgeport, Fraczkowski was in the right place at the right time to put home a rebound off the post to put the Wildcats up 1-0 over Bridgeport in the first half on Thursday. She concluded the week by scoring two more goals against Bloomfield, redirecting a pair of crosses with her head. Her back-to-back goals gave the Wildcats a 3-0 lead in the 64th minute on Saturday for Homecoming.

Her eight points last week launched her up the team leaderboard and now sits in second on the team with four goals and eight points. With the four goal outburst, she is now fourth in the CACC in goal scoring and points.

Georgian Court's Katie Vecchio was tabbed at the CACC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week by notching a game-winning goal for a 1-0 win over Dominican. Chestnut Hill's Carly DiGiovanni, Felician's Alysia Arcona and Philadelphia's Katie Ferguson earned this week's Honorable Mention to round out the Weekly Report.

The honor is the first Weekly Honor for Fraczkowski and the first time since the 2010 season the Wildcats were awarded with a CACC Player of the Week.

The first place Wildcats have a tough week ahead of them, as they host Philadelphia (4-2, 4-0 CACC) on Wednesday for a battle to remain atop the standings and head to Post for a long road trip on Saturday.
