NEWARK, Del. - - In leading the Wilmington University women's soccer team offensively this past fall, sophomore Loran Wyrough has been selected to the 2015 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) East Region Second Team, as voted on by the region's sports information directors.

Wyrough (Hamilton, N.J.) paced the Wildcats with 17 goals and added four assists for 38 points. Her 17 goals and 38 points rank second among all Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference student-athletes.

The sophomore was previously voted as a First Team All-CACC performer this season by the league's head coaches, with this All-Region honor being the first of her young career. Wyrough was also a two-time CACC Player of the Week and once a CACC Co-Player of the Week during this season.

Wyrough scored in 11 games this season, including two stretches where she scored at least one goal in five straight contests. She tallied a career high four goals on October 10 at Nyack, leading the Wildcats to a 4-2 victory. She also added four multi-goal games on the season. Five of her goals proved to be game-winners.

The forward is now tied for fourth all-time in program history with 26 career goals. She also ranks fifth in program history with 59 points after two seasons of play.

Wyrough is the first Wildcat to earn All-Region honors since the 2012 season, when the team placed two members on multiple All-Region teams.

Adelphi's Laura Gomez was voted as the 2015 Division II CCA East Region Women's Soccer Player of the Year, scoring 12 goals and adding four assists for 28 points in leading her team to the NE-10 Conference regular season and tournament championships, as well as the third round of the NCAA Division II Championship Tournament.
