Jeff Brown joined the Wilmington University women’s soccer coaching staff in the winter of 2012, bringing valued experience to the staff and team.

Brown is a member of three High School Hall of Fames for his decades of work in the sport and growth of youth teams. He was first inducted into the New Jersey Interscholastic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1993 before being inducted into the Riverside High School Hall of Fame in 2001. Finally, he was inducted into the South Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame in 2004.

Most recently, Brown has been at the helm of the Burlington County College women’s soccer team, turning the program into a powerhouse since taking over the team in 2007.  He compiled a 57-10-7 (.851%) record in five seasons. He was the undefeated Garden State Conference Champions in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and the undefeated NJCAA Region 19 Champions in 2010 and 2011 and runner-up in Northeast Districts.

Over his years at Burlington County College, Brown had many players make All Conference – 33 players and All Region All Star Teams- 18 players, with 7 making the top five players in Region 19. He had two players make All American Honors.

Brown was the Garden State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year four times (2007, 2009-2011). He was the NJCAA Region 19 Coach of the Year in both 2010 and 2011.

Brown has had two of his Soccer players honored by the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women named Women of the Year for Burlington County College. In 2009 Michelle Battistini and in 2010 Victoria Zipf (who played for Wilmington University in 2011-12).

Prior to coaching at the college level, Brown helped mold soccer players at the high school level for 32 years.  He has coached varsity high school boys and girls soccer while winning 333 Career high school varsity soccer wins (333-167-31, 66.7%). In boy’s soccer, he won his league four times and coached the Coaches All Star Team games on eight occasions. He coached boy’s varsity soccer at Riverside High School, going 91-17-7. Brown also coached at John F. Kennedy High School, and Willingboro High School.

Brown is the only coach in New Jersey to ever win State Soccer Championships in both boys and girls soccer.  Two State Soccer Championships with Riverside High School Boys in 1980 and 1982, and one with the Riverside Girls in 2005. He is one of the winningest coaches of any sport at Riverside High School, going a combined 272-80-18.

He was also named the Burlington County Times Coach of the Year in 1980 and 2005.

Brown coached the girls at Riverside high school from 1994-2006 with a record of 181-63-11. He had only one season in 13 years with the girls program that was below a .500 winning percentage. Twelve out of his 13 girl's teams qualified for the New Jersey State Tournament.

He had seven League Championships, winning six in a row, while placing second in the league on five occasions. Brown also led his squads to three South Jersey Group 1 Runner-Up finishes, a South Jersey Group 1 Championship and a New Jersey Group 1 State Championship in 2005. His team was undefeated in 54 league games from 1999 until 2005. He had two players score more than 100 goals in their high school careers (boys – Bobby Joe Esposito, 150; girls – Marie Cislo, 106).

Brown has been a member of the NSCAA for 33 years and holds a New Jersey Soccer Association License.
