Tennis Earns Fifth Seed in First Ever DII East Regional Tournament Appearance

FLUSHING, N.Y. – For the first time in program history, the Wilmington University women's tennis team earned their bid as the No. 5 seed in the NCAA Division II East I Regional Tournament.

After going 10-8 overall this past year, and winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title back in October, the women's tennis team looks to play in their first ever NCAA East Regional Tournament.

The Fifth seeded Wildcats will face off with #4 seeded NYIT (17-4) in the first round on Monday, May 13 at 12:00 p.m. Queens College earned the No. 1 seed in the East I Region and will be the host. They will play the winner of the Wildcats and Bears on Tuesday, May 14.

On the other side of the East Regional Tournament, CACC foe Goldey-Beacom earned the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Concordia in the first round. No. 2 Stonehill is the host and will play the winner of the Lightning and Clippers.
