Brice Hansen Named CACC Volleyball Player of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - After leading the Wilmington University volleyball team to a 2-0 week, Brice Hansen has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Last week, Brice Hansen and the Wildcats went 2-0, defeating West Chester, 3-0, during the midweek and then besting Post on Homecoming on Saturday, 3-1.

Brice Hansen (Lyman, Wyo.) led the Wildcats with 26 kills last week, averaging 3.71 per set. She also had 26 digs, finishing second on the team with 3.71 digs per set. The sophomore also collected five aces in the two matches as well.

Against West Chester, Hansen put down 11 kills while only committing three errors, hitting .276. She also added 12 digs for the double-double, tacking on a pair of aces as well. On Saturday, she put down 15 kills against Post, committing only four errors while hitting .268. She had another double-double with 14 digs, adding three aces for 18 points on Homecoming.

For the season, Brice Hansen is second on the team in averaging 2.47 kills per set and fourth on the team in averaging 2.28 digs per set. She is second on the team in averaging 2.9 points per set this year.

The Wildcats are home against Jefferson on Thursday with the first serve set for 7:00 p.m. at the WU Athletics Complex.
