    The Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) announced the 2022-23 recipients of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards, and the Wilmington University athletics department placed 100 student-athletes on the list.
  • Baseball and Golf Earn 2022-23 CACC Team GPA Award Winners

    Eight schools combined to capture 17 honors that were handed out Monday, as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its 2022-23 Team GPA Award winners for the recently completed athletic season (2022-23). The announcement was made by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara, as Thomas Jefferson University and Post University each led the way with four team GPA awards apiece.

    Alliance University was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s and Women’s Sportsmanship Award winners, following the recently-completed 2023-23 season. The Wilmington University program’s finished with an impressive second place standing for the women and a fourth place standings for the men.

  • CACC Celebrates 50 Years of Title IX - January 25

    In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Title IX across the United States, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) -- along with the NCAA and other conferences in Division II -- will honor former female student-athletes throughout the 2022-23 season. Today's installment of six featured student-athletes includes Jasmine Minter (Alliance University), Skylar German (Post University), Brianna Ligotski (University of the Sciences), Kristen Blye (Thomas Jefferson University), Amanda Walters (Wilmington University), and Cherlynn Townsend (University of Bridgeport). Today's feature also highlights the 2001 Felician University Women's Soccer team which won the CACC Regular Season Championship (14-3-2 record) and participated in the NAIA Regional Tournament.

Today's installment of 12 featured student-athletes includes Delaney Childers (Dominican University), Nicole Spiegelberg (Felician University), Stephanie Bock (Georgian Court University), Miranda Shaw (Wilmington University), Iman Williams-Mulesa (Chestnut Hill College), and Tanner Turner-Rush (Goldey-Beacom College). Today's feature also highlights the 2011 Dominican University Softball team which won the CACC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
  • Men’s Lacrosse and Golf Win 2021-22 CACC Team Academic Awards

    The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) unveiled its 2021-22 CACC Team Academic Award winners on Wednesday, as seven schools combined to take home the 16 honors for the 2021-22 academic year. The announcement was made by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The school with the highest team grade point average in each of the league's 16 championship sports during the 2021-22 campaign was crowned the Team Academic Award winner for that specific sport. Teams must have met NCAA sport sponsorship minimum standards to be eligible to earn the academic awards.
  • Men’s Golf, Cross Country, and Soccer Give Wilmington Leg Up in CACC Restaino Cup After Fall

    Wilmington University sits in first place in the 2022-23 CACC Alfred R. Restaino, Sr. Cup standings for men's sports following the recently completed fall season with a top average score of 11.0833. The announcment of the up-to-date standings was made on Tuesday by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The Wildcats first-place score was aided by three solid finishes by Wildcat men's teams during the fall, including men's golf finishing second in the conference's October championship, followed by men's cross country placing third, and the men's soccer squad reaching the CACC semifinals.

    In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Title IX across the United States, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) will honor former female student-athletes throughout the 2022-23 season. Today's installment of 12 featured student-athletes includes Megan Ferrick (Wilmington University), Maegen Doyle (University of Bridgeport), Costanza Mecchi (Concordia College), Lindsey Iden (Holy Family University), Jerae Keli'ikoa (Bloomfield College) and Rebecca Ryan (Caldwell University). Today's feature also highlights the 2021-22 Chestnut Hill College Women's Basketball team which advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
