2016: Competed in all seven meets for the Wildcats in 2016 – best overall finish came at the WUXC Invite where she placed 15th overall with a time of 23:03.78 – was the top finisher for the Wildcats at the CACC Championships with a time of 21:13.4, good enough for 19th place – set a new personal record on a 5K course at the CACC Championships – set a new personal record on a 6K course at the 2016 NCAA Division II Regional Championship in Hopkinton, N.H. – ran the Bruce Kirsch Cup 5K event in 21:48.1, coming in 65th overall.
2015: Competed in all six events for the Wildcats in 2015 – best overall finish was at the Panorama Farms Invitational, placing 22nd overall with a 5K time of 22:11.9 – set a new 5K personal record at the CACC Championships, finishing 23rd overall in 21:19.7 – also set a new PR in the 6K event, finishing 93rd overall at the NCAA East Regional Championship in 24:45.6 – finished 23rd at the WUXC Invite, 59th at the UD Invite #1, and 30th overall at the Jack St. Clair Championships.
2014: Competed in six of the seven events throughout her redshirt freshman season – finished a season’s best 40th overall at the WUXC Invite, finishing in 26:28.51 – placed 52nd overall at the CACC Championships, crossing the line at 23:26 – fastest 5K event was at the CACC Championship – fastest 6K event was at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship, finishing in 148th overall in 26:37.0.
2013: Ran the first event of the year at the WUXC Invite, but an injury forced her to redshirt and retain her year of eligibility.
High School: Two-year letterwinner on the cross-country team at the Delaware Military Academy – named All-Conference as a senior in 2012 – helped lead team to a third place finish at the Delaware state meet.
Personal: Rachel Lynn Jones – daughter of Rob and Kim Jones – has three younger siblings, Kylie, Maddi, and Ryan – earned her bachelors degree in behavioral science at Wilmington University in 2016 – earning a masters in Applied Family Sciences at Wilmington University – from Newark, Del. – considers her family and teammates her role models – the greatest piece of advice she’s ever received is “to never give up and always push yourself” – considers her grandmom her hero in life – biggest pet peeve is when people talk with their mouths full.
