RUTHERFORD, N.J. - - An early lead turned into a late game deficit as the Wilmington University women's basketball team used a fourth quarter charge and a buzzer beating three-pointer from Jasmine Lee to comeback and defeat Felician, 78-75, on Wednesday night in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action in Job Gym.

The Wildcats (6-9, 3-3 CACC) jumped out to a large first quarter lead, outscoring the Golden Falcons (3-11, 2-5 CACC) 21-10 in the first 10 minutes. The Wildcats also held a 40-28 lead going into the halftime break. But the Golden Falcons used a 30-12 third quarter advantage to take the lead, and grew it to as large as 72-59 with 6:12 to play in regulation.

That's when the Wildcats went on the move.

Out of a Wildcats' timeout, the visitors went on an 11-0 run as LaShyra Williams put in six of the points during the run. Macy Robinson hit one of her three three-pointers in the fourth quarter alone to bring the Wildcats all the way to within 72-70 with 2:38 showing on the clock.

A Felician free throw ended the Wildcats run, but Robinson came right back and hit another three-pointer, drawing the game even, 73-73, with 1:29 left in regulation. The Golden Falcons were off the mark once again and Williams pushed the ball ahead to Jasmine Lee to put the Wildcats ahead, 75-73.

The Golden Falcons' tied the game and blocked the ensuing Wildcats' offensive possession, setting up for a game-winning shot. A Felician timeout moved the ball to half court and the Golden Falcons had two opportunities from close, but couldn't get the ball to drop. The Wildcats came up with the rebound with 1.4 seconds showing on the clock.

Head coach Rob Miller used a timeout of his own to advance the ball for the Wildcats and the inbounds pass from Jocelyn Rodriguez found Lee in the corner. Lee's three-pointer hit nothing but net as the horn sounded, capping the comeback for the Wildcats.

The large comeback was needed after the Golden Falcons used a comeback of their own in the middle of the game. The Wildcats once held a 20-point game with 2:58 to play in the first half. Felician eventually took the lead with 5:03 to play in the third quarter on their way to their large lead in the fourth quarter.

Robinson finished 5-of-11 from three-point territory and a team high 17 points for the Wildcats. Lee's lone three-pointer of the game gave her 15 points off the bench while Williams also added 15 points. Williams stuffed the stat sheet once again, adding seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and two steals as well. Freshman Jamiere Jefferies scored a season high 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting to round out the Wildcats in double digits.

Rodriguez grabbed a team high 10 rebounds, adding four assists while scoring four points as well.

The Wildcats went 9-of-20 from beyond the three-point arc for the game while the Golden Falcons went 2-of-14 from deep. But the home team held the advantage at the free throw line, shooting 17-of-24 from the charity compared to the Wildcats' 1-of-4. The Wildcats converted 22 Golden Falcon turnovers into 25 points at the other end.

The Wildcats remain in the CACC for the rest of the season and return home for their next conference action on Saturday. They host Dominican in a cross-divisional contest starting at 1:00 p.m. at the WU Athletics Complex.
