
WATERBURY, Conn. - - The Wilmington University women's lacrosse team won its sixth straight game on Saturday, defeating Post, 23-1, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matchup at Post on LaMoy Field.
In the victory, junior midfielder Ella Royer broke her own single season program record in goals and now stands with 92 goals and 22 assists for 114 points. Her 114 points ties teammate Alea Javorowsky's single season points record set last season.
The Wildcats raced out to a 12-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 17-0 lead at the halftime break. Alea Javorowsky scored three of the first five goals for the Wildcats, totaling four in the first quarter. Ella Royer scored the other two goals among the first five, scoring four int eh first quarter as well. Tristan Holdsworth scored three straight goals for the Wildcats, including two on the man-advantage.
Four different Wildcats scored five goals in the second quarter with Ella Royer adding goals five and six of the game. The Wildcats led 17-0 at the half.
Eden Ward started the third quarter with back-to-back goals before Michaella Cook and Tristan Holdsworth made it 21-0. Post got on the board with their lone goal of the game with 1:43 to play in the third.
Ella Royer scored seven goals and added two assists while Tristan Holdsworth scored five goals and added two assists. Alea Javorowsky finished with four goals and three assists while Eden Ward added four goals, an assist, and nine draws. Michaella Cook chipped in with two goals and three assists as well.
Allison Schiavone made two saves in the first half while Ashleigh Lawry made two saves in the second half. The Wildcats outshot Post, 41-7, in the game.
The Wildcats host Holy Family on Tuesday in their final regular season home game of the 2025 season. The opening draw against the Tigers is set for 4:00 p.m. at the WU Athletics Complex.
