
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - A pair of Wilmington University men's soccer student-athletes earned Second Team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference on Tuesday, as voted on by the league's 12 head coaches and announced by the conference office.
For the second time in his career, Yohan Kim earned a spot on the team, this year being a Second Team midfielder. Joining Kim as a Second Team All-CACC performer for the first time in his career is defender Tyrese Small.
Yohan Kim (Seoul, Republic of Korea), a 2021 First Team All-CACC performer, finished tied for sixth in the CACC while leading the Wildcats with six assists on the year. He appeared in 17 games for the Wildcats, making starts in the final four games of the season. He collected two assists against Mercy, and added single assists against Adelphi, Bloomfield, Caldwell and Felician.
Tyrese Small (Kingston, Jamaica), the holding defensive midfielder for the Wildcats, started in all 17 games his played, getting into the offensive mix on set pieces. He scored three goals and added an assist for seven points on the year, tied for sixth on the team. He scored goals off corners against Adelphi, Holy Family, and Mercy, adding an assist against Dominican.
Caldwell's Israel Dos Santos Neto was voted the CACC Player of the Year after scoring 13 goals and adding six assists for 32 points through the CACC Tournament First Round. Chestnut Hill's Abdoulaye Kamagate was voted the CACC Rookie of the Year while Post's Felix Nassen was the CACC Defensive Player of the Year. By being named the First Team Goalkeeper, Post's Soren Jensen was named the Goalkeeper of the Year while his coach Ted Haley was named the CACC Coach of the Year by the conference's sports information directors.
