Five Wildcats Garner All-CACC Baseball Honors 

NEW CASTLE, DE – Wilmington University is pleased to announce that Cody Holliday (Havre de Grace HS/Havre de Grace, MD) and Brian Testa (St. Elizabeth HS/Wilmington, DE) were awarded first-team All-CACC honors while Jimmy Okoniewski (St. Mark's HS/Wilmington, DE) and Mike Wilson (Dickinson HS/Wilmington, DE) received second-team honors. Matt Gianni (Southern Regional HS/Barnegat, NJ) was garnered honorable mention. 

Holliday, a junior outfielder, led the Wildcats in slugging percentage (.550), stolen bases (14), walks (28), and home runs (8).  He was second in batting (.304), runs (41), total bases (94), hits (52), and on-base percentage (.426).  He drove in 30, and was second in the CACC in home runs and third in doubles (14).

Testa, a senior utility player, saw time this season at first base, shortstop, designated hitter, and in the outfield.  He hit .303, scored 43 runs, tallied 39 RBIs, and recorded 97 total bases.  Testa led the Wildcats in runs, RBIs, total bases, and hit (57).  He also led the CACC in runs and total bases.

Okoniewski, a senior right-handed pitcher, went 4-2 with a 2.78ERA.  He notched one complete game and one save.  Okoniewskir's opponents hit only .224 off him, and he struck out 62 in 64.1 innings pitched.  

Wilson, a senior third baseman, led the team in batting, hitting .311 on the season.  He was second on the team in RBIs with 36 and third in hits with 50.

Gianni, a senior catcher, was fourth on the Wildcats in hitting, notching a .296 average.  He scored 26 runs, drove in 14, and led the team with a .440 on-base percentage.

The Wildcats finished the regular season with a 17-10 record in the CACC and an overall record of 26-26.
