ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - - On the first day of the 2015-16 season, it is a new face that leads the Wilmington University men's golf team during the first two rounds of the Jay Jennison Memorial Tournament played on the Slammer & Squire Course on at the World Golf Village Resort on Monday.

Junior transfer Troy Miller shot a 71-72 to finish at one-under par on the first day. He is in a tie for 12^th overall, seven strokes off the lead. His first round 71 had him in a tie for 11^th after the first 18 holes.

Senior Andreas Lunding was one of three Wildcats to shoot a 73 in the opening round, following it up with a 74 to finish in a tie for 30^th with a three-over day. Joey Russo matched Lunding shot for shot on the afternoon, also shooting a 73-74 to tie Lunding in 30^th.

Junior Sam Clark was the third Wildcat to shoot a 73 in the first round and followed it up with a 75 in the second round of the day, finishing in a tie for 35^th overall at four-over par.

Freshman Ryan Rucinski rounded out the Wildcats' scoring in the second round, bouncing back from a tough first 18-holes as a collegiate golfer. Rucinski fought back from an 81 to post a 74 in the second round, shooting a 155 (+11) to move up to 64^th overall on the day.

Senior Jordan Lamb and junior transfer Miguel Siercke also competed as individuals for the Wildcats, as Lamb shot 76-77 for a 154 (+9) on the first day. He is in a tie for 55^th overall. Siercke shot a 77-79 in his first action as a Wildcat, finishing with a 156 (+12) and in 68^th overall.

West Florida leads the pack of 15 teams, posting an outstanding 279-284 to sit in the lead at 13-under as a team. West Florida is eight-strokes ahead of Rollins while host Flagler rounds out the top three at two-under par.

Flagler's Michael Boss posted a 66 in the second round to jump into the lead at eight-under par. Mount Olive's Brady Hollenbacher is two strokes behind Boss at six-under par while West Florida's Bryce Geraghty in in third at five-under.

The Wildcats begin the third and final round on Tuesday morning with the first tee-shot slated for 8:00 a.m. The Wildcats are paired with Erskine and Georgia College for the final round.
