Wilmington Softball Ranked No. 4 in Latest NCAA Division II East Regional Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - In the second week of the 2019 NCAA Division II East Regional Rankings, the Wilmington University softball team sits in fourth with a 32-12 overall record.

The Wildcats went 4-0 last week and head into their final Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and regular season doubleheader on Saturday as they travel to Felician.

Wilmington was ranked third in the first week of the regional rankings, but dropped to fourth this week. LIU Post moved up to the top spot with a 36-8 overall record while St. Anselm moved up two spots to No. 2 with a 29-8 record. Southern New Hampshire slipped from the top to the third spot with a 39-9 record followed by the Wildcats at No. 4.

The CACC has four schools in the Top 10, as Georgian Court is right behind the Wildcats at No. 5. Caldwell trails Georgian Court and is at No. 6 while Dominican rounds out the Top 10 at No. 10.

The CACC Tournament begins Thursday, May 2 in Lakewood, N.J., hosted by Georgian Court University.
