Eleni Feggulis Named CACC Bowler of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Eleni Feggulis was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Bowler of the Week after earning MVP honors at the New Jersey Open last weekend.

It is the second consecutive week the Wilmington University women's bowling team had a student-athlete earn CACC Bowler of the Week after Logan Brown earned the weekly honor last week.

The Wildcats produced three of the Top 5 bowlers at the New Jersey Open, but the entire tournament was led by Eleni Feggulis (South River, N.J.) who earned MVP honors by being the only student-athlete to bowl over the 1,000-pin threshold.

Feggulis finished in first place with a 1,077 for a 215.40 five-match average. She bowled a tournament-best 268 in the final match of the day, adding to her 257 against LIU and 215 against Felician. She finished with games of 257-215-170-167-268 for her 1,077.

She helped lead the Wildcats to a second-place finish, heading into the final day in first place.

The Wildcats head to the Griffin Baker Classic this weekend, competing on Saturday and Sunday in Limerick, Pennsylvania.
