NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University women's tennis team learned its fate on Tuesday night while watching the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Selection Show and they will be the No. 1 seed and host the East Region #1 Bracket at the Delcastle Tennis Center this weekend.
The Wildcats knew they were into the Regional Tournament by virtue of winning the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament in the fall, but they weren't sure of their seeding until last night. It is the second time they will play in the NCAA East Regional Tournament in program history.
The Wildcats will host the No. 4 seed St. Thomas Aquinas and the No. 5 seed Le Moyne as well, as they will play a neutral site match at Delcastle Tennis Center on Friday in the First Round. The winner will face Wilmington on Saturday at noon in the second round.
