Men’s Cross Country Ranked Fourth in 2014 USTFCCCA Men’s Preseason Division II Regional Ranking

NEW ORLEANS, La. - - Following an amazing run to the 2013 NCAA Division II National Meet, the Wilmington University cross country team finds itself ranked in the 2014 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Preseason Regional Rankings.

The Wildcats open the 2014 season on Saturday, September 6 with the 14th Annual WUXC Invitational at Carousel Park. The men's team will head into the home meet ranked fourth in the East Region, according to the USTFCCA Preseason Regional Rankings. The Wildcats placed third at last year's Regional Meet to advance to the NCAA Division II National Meet.

Reigning East Regional champion Stonehill slides to third while Franklin Pierce remains at number two. American International, the fourth place team at the end of last year, takes over the top spot in the Preseason Poll.

Newcomers Roberts Wesleyan sit behind the Wildcats in fifth followed by Adelphi, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foe Philadelphia in seventh, Merrimack in eighth, Assumption in ninth, and Southern Connecticut in 10th.
