Men’s Cross Country Remains at No. 8 in USTFCCCA Week 2 Regional Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University men's cross country team remains at No. 8 in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region Poll.

In the Week 2 poll, the region saw movement at the top and the bottom of the poll, but the Wildcats held firm at No. 8 after a fourth place finish at the Kutztown DII/DIII Challenge last Friday night.

Roberts Wesleyan takes over at No. 1 this week while Franklin Pierce slides up a spot to No. 2. Southern Connecticut dropped out of the top spot to No. 3 this week while Saint Michael's holds firm at No. 4.

Assumption is this week's big jumper, moving up four spots to No. 5. Southern New Hampshire dropped a spot to No. 6 while Bentley and Wilmington hold firm in their positions at No. 7 and 8. New Haven dropped three spots to No. 9 while Molloy joins the rankings at No. 10, dropping Georgian Court from the poll in Week 2.

The Wildcats head to Lock Haven, ranked No. 7 in the Atlantic this week, this weekend to compete in the LHU Invite. The race is scheduled for Saturday with the men starting the day at 10:00 a.m.
