SUBJECT: Tournament Preview: Fifth Seeded Wilmington Softball Begins East Region Tournament on Friday at Adelphi

NEWARK, Del. - - For the second year in a row the Wilmington University softball team will compete in the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament, earning a spot as the No. 5 seed and participating in the East Region 1 Tournament hosted by Adelphi.

The Wildcats (33-16) earned their first ever at-large bid after finishing third in the CACC Regular Season and third in the CACC Tournament last week. The Wildcats will play host and fourth seed Adelphi in the first round of the four-team, double elimination bracket starting on Friday.
