Harris Named to NCBWA All-American Third Team

NEW CASTLE, DE – Wilmington University is pleased to announce that baseball standout Joe Harris (Daniel Boone HS/Douglassville, PA) was recently named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America (NCBWA) All-American Third Team for his performance this past season.

Harris, a junior left-handed pitcher, was the CACC Pitcher of the Year, after posting a 6-2 record with a 2.09 ERA. A first-team All-CACC selection, he led the conference in strikeouts, and finished third in earned run average.  He also was awarded American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), NCBWA, and NCAA Daktronics First-Team All-East Region honors.  Harris becomes the third Wildcat from the baseball program to be awarded All-American accolades since the Wildcats made the move to the NCAA in the fall of 2003.

His efforts helped Wilmington claim the regular season CACC Championship, with a conference record of 16-4 and an overall mark of 29-18.
