NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - For the second week in a row, Wilmington University women's soccer forward Loran Wyrough is featured atop the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Reports, being named CACC Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday.

Last week, Wyrough was named a Co-Player of the Week for the conference but a pair of strong performances by the sophomore last week has led her to her first lone CACC Player of the Week honors of her career.

The redshirt sophomore paced the Wildcats' offense to a 1-1 week, leading the team to a double-overtime victory against Philadelphia while scoring the team's lone goal in a tough overtime loss against Post.

Wyrough's three-goal week started midweek against Philadelphia, as the team forged a late game comeback. Wyrough got on the end of a Rebecca Dolhansky cross in the 83rd minute to tie the game before tapping home the game-winner from La'Dae Boykin and Chandler Lages in the 109th minute with only 1:33 remaining in the contest.

Wyrough's strong play continued into the weekend as she gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the first half. Her 13th goal of the season came off the free kick from Carin Essex-Arline, putting the home team ahead in the 29th minute.

Her 13 goals and 28 points rank second in the CACC while her 42 shots are third in the conference.

Wyrough headlines the CACC Weekly Report along with Caldwell's Mary Kanzler who was named the CACC Rookie of the Week. Goldey-Beacom's Cindell Aguirre and Kanzler were named the CACC's Defensive Players of the Week as well.

Wilmington's Alex Siolos was named to volleyball's Weekly Honor Roll for her efforts in leading the Wildcats to a perfect 3-0 week last week.
