NEWARK, Del. - - Sophomore forward Loran Wyrough has added the distinction of Second Team National Soccer Coaches Association of American All-East Region to her 2015 season accolades, as announced by the organization this week.
It is the second All-Region honor for the sophomore, as she was also named Second Team CCA All-East Region earlier this week as well, as voted on by the region's sports information directors. The region's head coaches select the NSCAA All-Region teams. Wyrough was a First Team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference performer throughout the season.
Wyrough (Hamilton, N.J.) paced the Wildcats with 17 goals and added four assists for 38 points. Her 17 goals and 38 points rank second among all CACC student-athletes.
Wyrough scored in 11 games this season, including two stretches where she scored at least one goal in five straight contests. She tallied a career high four goals on October 10 at Nyack, leading the Wildcats to a 4-2 victory. She also added four multi-goal games on the season. Five of her goals proved to be game-winners.
The forward is now tied for fourth all-time in program history with 26 career goals. She also ranks fifth in program history with 59 points after two seasons of play.
Wyrough is only the second Wildcat to earn Second Team All-NSCAA All-East Region Honors in the history of the program. She joins Morgan Fraczkowski (2012) as the highest all-region performer in team history for the NSCAA organization awards. All-American Begum Malali was First Team All-East Region for Daktronics in 2007.
