NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University women's soccer team gave back to the local community on Saturday morning, participating in the Stream Stewards Spring Clean Up along the Brandywine River.
In Partnership with Christina River Watershed Cleanup, the Wildcats volunteered their time to clean up as much trash to help out The Nature Conservancy, National Park Service, and Delaware State Parks to help keep the Brandywine River happy and healthy.
Participants were provided with gloves and trash bag and dispersed throughout the creek, starting at the intersection of Beaver Dam Road and Brandywine Creek Road in the First State National Historical Park.
