WILMINGTON, Del. - - The Wilmington University cross country team helped kick off the 37th St. Anthony's Italian Festival on Sunday, aiding in the annual 5K run with the start/finish line at Father Tucker Memorial Park.

Along with assistant coaches Bill Steele and Mark Hannagan, 11 Wildcats helped kick off this year's Italian Festival with the 5K run as race marshals.

The race started at 9th and Scott Streets in downtown Wilmington and followed a scenic yet challenging course throughout the surround city neighborhoods before ending back on Scott Street.

All proceeds of the 5K benefits the St. Anthony's of Padua Church in Wilmington.
