Jacob Herman Named CACC Player of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - An early season matchup has resulted in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the Wilmington University men's lacrosse team, as Jacob Herman earns the first weekly honor of the 2023 season.

The Wildcats had a tough matchup to start the 2023 campaign, flying down to take on the defending NCAA Division II National Champion and current nationally ranked No. 1 team in the nation in Tampa.

Jacob Herman led the Wildcats by scoring two goals and adding two assists. He led the team with 41 assists last year and is the program's all-time leader in assists now with 63 for his career.

The Wildcats are off until their first home game of the 2023 season on Saturday, February 25. They host No. 5 Mercyhurst at the WU Athletics Complex with an 11:00 a.m. opening face-off.
