Jacob Herman, Nick Bruhn, and Jack McDonald Named CACC Players of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - A pair of Wilmington University men's lacrosse student-athletes, as well as a baseball student-athlete, were highlighted as this week's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Men's lacrosse's Jacob Herman (Player of the Week) and Nick Bruhn (Defensive Player of the Week) led the Wildcats to a 25-15 victory over Caldwell while Jack McDonald (Co-Player of the Week) helped carry the baseball team to a 5-2 week.

Jacob Herman (Palmyra, Pa.) and Nick Bruhn (Burke, Va.) powered the Wildcats to their CACC opening victory over the Cougars with their highest scoring output of the season. Herman paced the offense with a career high five goals and added four assists, needing only eight shots to get the job done. Nick Bruhn had a program best 11 ground balls for a non-face-off performer, adding five caused turnovers. He also assisted on a Josh Lovely goal in the third quarter to give the Wildcats a 17-7 lead.

Jack McDonald (Pompton Lakes, N.J.) helped lead the Wildcats to a 5-2 week last week, winning the final five games. He led the offense with a .750 batting average, going 12-for-16 with a double, a triple, and two homers, leading the team with a 1.313 slugging percentage. He batted 3-for-3 with an RBI in game one against Bridgeport and then went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBI against Jefferson on Saturday. McDonald finished the week going 5-for-7 with a double, triple, and a home run in a doubleheader sweep at Caldwell on Sunday.

Also being named on the Weekly Honor Roll was baseball's Dom Grady, softball's Lexi Moore, and women's lacrosse's Amelie Gamache.
