NEWARK, Del. - - Wilmington University's Jackie Trainer has announced her resignation as head coach of the women's lacrosse program in order to take the same position at Kutztown University, effective immediately.

Trainer was the head coach of the Wildcats for the past six seasons, taking over the head job after two seasons as an assistant coach. She was the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year in 2012 after leading the team to a 9-8 record and a 6-6 mark in conference play, reaching the CACC Tournament Semifinals in her first year.

In six seasons, Trainer accumulated a 40-62 overall record, going 29-30 in CACC play. She reached the CACC Tournament in four of her seasons, advancing to play in the CACC Tournament Semifinals in 2012 and 2015.

She takes over a Golden Bears program that went 7-10 last year, going 3-9 in the highly touted Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference (PSAC).
