Wilmington Women’s Soccer Well Represented in CACC Weekly Report

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - A pair of Wilmington University women's soccer players dominated the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Report, as the conference office announced the winners on Tuesday.

Freshman Jessica Unsihuay was named the CACC Co-Player and Rookie of the Week while Kierstyn Williams picks up her third CACC Goalkeeper of the Week award.

Unsihuay led the offense with three goals in two games last week, including the only goal of a 1-0 upset at nationally No. 6 Adelphi on Thursday. The freshman then came out and scored a pair at Concordia on Saturday, scoring the first goal of the game before tacking on the fifth goal in a 7-1 CACC victory. She now has four goals on the year, adding four assists for a total of 12 points on the year.

Williams has been named back-to-back Goalkeeper of the Week, picking up her third such award of the season. In two games last week, Williams did not allow a goal, making seven stops in their 1-0 shutout at nationally No. 6 Adelphi. She then played the second half of their CACC contest at Concordia on Saturday, making one stop.

Holy Family's Brianna Rock was named the Co-Player of the Week with Unsihuary while Jefferson's Kasey Schlupp rounded out the CACC Weekly Report by being named the Defensive Player of the Week.
