NEWARK, Del. - - This past fall, the Wilmington University women's soccer team had a bounce-back season, improving by six wins and finishing second in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Regular Season standings and it may be because they had Aaron Bubeck on the sidelines.

Aaron Bubeck became a fan of the Wildcats women's soccer program through assistant coach Don Palmucci, as he mentored Bubeck in several programs at Pennsville Memorial High School. Bubeck graduated from Pennsville Memorial in 2022. While there, he was active in both the weightlifting club and leadership group, both of which were mentored by Don Palmucci. Bubeck is now a student at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) in Sewell, New Jersey. He is attending the Adult Center for Transition where he is learning skills to join the workforce or attend a traditional school.

Aaron is a sports enthusiast and is active in several sports programs. He plays baseball with the Pennsville Challenger League, and he also enjoys playing soccer. He is currently playing for the RCSJ Unified Sports program, which is managed and organized through the Special Olympics. He is also playing soccer for the Pennsville Soccer Association and will move on to basketball for RCSJ in the Unified Sports program and the Pennsville Challenger League.

Aaron made his presence known this past fall for the Wildcats, coming out and joining the Wildcats for weekend home games. He was often seen on the field during warmups, getting the team ready to play. He helped the Wildcats to an 11-3-4 overall record.
